    Frequently asked questions

What time should levothyroxine be taken?

On an empty stomach, 30-60 minutes before breakfast, with a glass of water. Keep it at least 2-4 hours away from calcium, iron, dairy and antacids, which reduce its absorption. Keep the same pattern every day.

Why is simvastatin taken at night?

Because cholesterol is mostly made in the early hours, so statins are usually recommended at night — it matters most for short half-life statins such as simvastatin. Atorvastatin has a longer half-life and can be taken at another fixed time of day. Always follow the schedule in your product information.

Which medicines should not be taken at the same time?

Iron and calcium reduce the absorption of levothyroxine and of some antibiotics; leave at least 2 hours between them. Antacids and proton pump inhibitors also interfere with several drugs. The tool spots those separations and warns you.

Does it work if I do night shifts?

Yes. Describe your real routine — when you eat, sleep and work — and the AI reorders the times around your cycle, always respecting each medicine's rules.
